About Haely Lindau M.Sc. Nutrition
Haely Lindau is passionate about food and the impact it has on overall health. A former fitness instructor and competitive swimmer, she first began to research foods in order to optimize her own health and performance. Confused and frustrated by conflicting information, she decided to study nutrition formally in order to better understand it and to help others achieve the same benefits she had experienced. She has a Masters of Nutritional Health and Education, and is also a trained public speaker and workshop facilitator.
Taking a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to clients, Haely says she has come to realize that no one strives to lead an unhealthy life, but situations and circumstances can often lead people in that direction. She takes the time to understand each individual’s unique needs in order to develop a plan; one that involves introducing more nutritious foods to a diet rather than simply eliminating those that aren’t healthy. “I don’t believe in deprivation,” she says.
Haely specializes in nutritional strategies to benefit digestion, women’s health, cancer, cognitive functioning and weight stabilization. A strong believer in integrative medicine, she feels that an integrated, team-oriented approach can provide the greatest benefit to clients.
In addition to nutritional consulting, Haely is the founder, owner and operater of a healthy food company called Fresh Now (eatfreshnow.ca). The goal of this company is to change the way Canadians eat by providing delicious, healthy food that is affordable and easily accessible. Fresh Now food is currently sold in customized vending machines in offices around the lower mainland, coffee shops and will soon be available in specialty grocery stores, yoga studios and gyms.
Haely has 2 active daughters and enjoys spending time with her
family, cooking, yoga, swimming, cycling, skiing, tennis and reading. She is a contributor to the best selling plant based cookbook YUM.
