Logan Seelye – EMPOWERED POST SPINAL CORD INJURY
Monday, March 27th, 2017
Join me on Monday March 27th at noon PT on The Dr. Theresa Nicassio Show with Logan Seelye, on HealthyLife.net – All Positive Talk Radio for an uplifting conversation about life that will be sure to inspire, move and empower you.
Logan will talk about how his dream to become a professional athlete was shattered in the blink of an eye with a single high school football tackle. He had it all, yet his destiny was to take his journey into a whole new direction of meaning and service. Logan will share with us how the lesson from his coach that life is only 10 percent what happens to you and 90 percent how you react to it changed his life. Fueled by this wisdom, Logan is passionate about empowering anyone who has been knocked down in life so that they too can rise up again and find real joy and fulfillment in their lives.
About Logan Seelye
Logan Seelye is a Senior Web Designer at Pacific Lutheran University, author of the recently released book, “10 and 90: The Tackle That Changed Everything” and an inspirational speaker. He is on a mission to share his story and positive attitude after a spinal cord injury in high school left him in a wheelchair and derailed his dreams of playing professional football. He won’t stop until everyone understands how to live life in the “10 and 90” way: It’s not what happens to you that matters, it’s what you do about what happens. Because of his relentless willpower and fight to walk again, Logan has been able to achieve success in all aspects of his life and inspire all those he comes in contact with.
When he’s not designing, writing or speaking, Logan’s enjoys going to the
gym and relaxing at home with his wife, daughter and dog. They currently reside in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, and are lifelong Seattle Seahawks fans.
“Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it.”
Life-Changing Quote that inspired Logan Seelye after his spinal cord injury when he was just 16 years old that became
the seed for his newly-released inspirational book…
At age 16, Logan Seelye had a dream: he was going to earn a football scholarship at a Division 1 football program and then, somehow, some way, he was going to win a spot on an NFL team. Then, wham! A spinal cord injury shattered that dream forever.
Rather than tumbling into depression, Logan lifted himself up and pursued new life goals and rewards. At his college graduation, he delivered the commencement address just a few yards from the spot of his accident. He married his junior high school girlfriend, started a family, launched a career, and made a new vow: when his daughter got married he would walk her down the wedding aisle.
