Chef James Sant – FINDING LOVE IN THE KITCHEN
Monday, February 13, 2017
Join me on Monday February February 13th at noon PT on The Dr. Theresa Nicassio Show with Plant-Based Chef James Sant, on HealthyLife.net – All Positive Talk Radio for an uplifting perspective about life, even in the face of real life challenges.
Chef James will entice us with the possibilities for sensual awakening and pleasure we can discover in the kitchen when we slow life down and relish in the pleasure of connecting with real food in a whole new way. After getting inspired by James‘ artistry, you may find it difficult to keep yourself OUT of the kitchen and away from all of that love you’ll find there!
About James Sant
As a lifelong professional artist, James has worked in just about every medium including clay art, sculpting, painting, textile art, set design, art administration, film documentary and photography. A serious industrial accident led him to discover the power of healing through a diet based on living foods. He has taken his life-long passion for plant-based eating and merged it with his artistic talents; becoming a certified gourmet raw food chef, raw pastry chef, as well as a yoga and chef instructor. James also recently completed the vegan Plantrician Culinary RX program through Rouxbe Cooking School. As an instructor for the Raw Culinary Arts Associate Chef and Instructor Training™ at Living Light Culinary Arts Institute in Fort Bragg, California, James brings together his years of entrepreneurial and culinary knowledge.
FINDING LOVE IN THE KITCHEN
“Put down the cell phone, turn off the TV, step back and take a deep breath. Disconnect from the mindset of convenience and honor yourself and your family enough to bring the sacred, time-honored traditions of food preparation back into your life. I propose that you see food preparation as a perfect opportunity to slow down and practice mindfulness. Let the kitchen become the most sacred space in the house. Light some candles and turn on some great music. Clear yourself of stress, anger, and worry…check them at the door. Make it your mission to become one with each piece of produce and each new technique you explore. Honor the prana (life force) of the food, the kitchen, and most importantly the life force within yourself.Soon, the time spent in the kitchen will become a beautiful meditation, and one of the most sacred practices of any day. The dishes you present will be infused with the deepest gratitude, love, and energy possible.”

James Lives The Life He Teaches…
Two of Chef James’ culinary passions are fermented foods and bread making. His heritage includes a long family history of bakers in Salt Lake City, Utah, and he has parlayed that heritage into making exquisite breads from sprouted grains and seeds. He even grinds his own flour from sprouted, dehydrated grains. At his home, you’ll see an ever-changing array of carefully labeled jars of all sorts of fermented foods. He loves to experiment with a wide variety of krauts, pickles, fermented drinks, and condiments, and of course, he enjoys teaching our students how to understand the fine art and science of fermentation. It’s an important skill to learn, since fermented and cultured foods are a vital part of a healthy living food lifestyle.
